Ever look at all of those glass bottles you recycle and wonder what they get turned into? Well, you might just be able to dine on your new countertops made of wine bottles of dinner parties past real soon. BottleStone is made from 80 percent postconsumer recycled glass bottles recovered from recycling centers outside of San Francisco Bay, CA. Reviews describe the finished product as having equal or greater strength than a 2.5″ slab of concrete.

We’ve also seen a comparable recycled product by IceStone and heard of a company making another product like this in Hamilton. We’ve yet to find this elusive manufacturer in Hamilton but would surely like to know how to supply more Ontario products to you, our clients. We’ll keep you posted on this hunt.

If you’re interested in learning more about either product, call and speak to Connor at our office.
