Country Charm Residential TypesWhole Home

This century home and property has been in the family for a long time. When the next generation purchased the property, they had some changes in mind. Keep some of the family charm and put a new twist on the way the space looks and feels.
And engage the outdoors with an open interior concept.
Solution was to use the existing footprint of the house and redesign the orientation, function and use. First step was to open the kitchen to the dining and living space so that the open concept design engages the fabulous landscaped outdoor space.
The homeowners wish to accommodate large gatherings with their grown children, their friends and extended family drove the design for large scale cabinets, islands, appliances and overflow entertainment areas.
Walls were removed, new structural beams and supports were installed.
This kitchen is nothing short of jaw dropping and has every detail carefully included in the use of space. Major storage, coffee bar, two wine fridges, sub zero fridge and freezer, small pull out freezer drawer, two islands and on and on. Nothing left behind in this design. Adjoining laundry area serves as an overflow entertaining spot.

White oak plank floors were installed throughout which set a very clean template for the dramatic kitchen cabinetry. Soft white perimeter cabinetry houses the industrial stove and large range hood. The metallic tile surrounding the stove and hood is beyond a wow factor and mirrors the hammered copper sink that faces the outdoor view. Creative island design with multiple uses for storage and entertaining. Rich Brazilian stone countertops with swirling image ties together the sleek exterior cabinetry with the breathtaking islands and the outside view of the pool.
The design of the kitchen incorporated the original brick wall from the 120-year-old farmhouse. Little pieces of history tied together.
