WE DID IT AGAIN! (…with your help) By: DuoBuilding

October 8, 2010

On Wednesday night at the Awards for Creative Excellence (ACE) held by the London Home Builders’ Association (LHBA) we were awarded the coveted Renovator of the Year Award. This marks the 4th year in a row we have been given this great honor and truly appreciate the recognition.

The Renovator of the Year award is given to the Renovator in London who participates the most in the local community initiatives, has the best customer feedback, and builds the most creative projects in London. With your help, we have been able to achieve this high accolade once again.

Some of the things we’ve been apart of this year you might not know about:
– Local park clean-ups with our staff and families
– Sponsored a staff member to build homes in New Orleans for Katrina Victims
– Unity Project’s Home for the Homeless
– Cancer Survivor Garden
– Ronald MacDonald House making dinners for families
– Food Drives for the Food Bank

Some of our own initiatives we began this year:
– Planting trees for every 5sq. ft. of project we build and renovate
– Became certified installers of LiveRoof, a green roofing system
– Improved our Health and Safety policies even more to support our team
– Attending Green building workshops in Toronto to serve you better, and with better information

– Refined our project recycling methods to recycle 95% of our clients project waste this year

In addition to the Renovator of the Year Award 2010, we also were awarded the Best Renovated Exterior with our work at 90 Central Avenue, and Best Renovation $150,000 and over with our greenest project to date, 30 Marley Place. We want to thank all of our past, current, and future clients for the opportunity to work with you on your homes. The award aside, the only real acknowledgment we need are satisfied clients who love their new home.

Not a DUO client? We would love to show you the DUO Difference. We have renovation planning guides we developed in house to help you no matter where you are in the process.
